Mocean Dance begins its 10th season with the announcement of unprecedented support from the Canada Council for the Arts. Mocean is pleased to be the recipient of Annual Creation Production support from the Canada Council, marking the first time this level of funding has been granted to a contemporary dance company east of Quebec.
“This funding acknowledges that the work being created and produced in Nova Scotia is of a high calibre and on par with that being created across the country," says co-founder and Artistic Director Carolle Crooks. "We are delighted with this news and hope that this national support will help the growth of our community as a whole.”
