Sara is both a dancer and emerging choreographer who trained pre-professionally at Halifax Dance before moving to New York, where she graduated cum laude from Purchase College-State University of New York with a BFA in Dance Performance. Her additional study took her to programs in NYC, Jacob's Pillow, Winnipeg, Toronto and Australia. Performance highlights include works by Crystal Pite, Merce Cunningham, Paul Taylor, Shapiro & Smith, Howard Richard and Roger Sinha. A founding member of Mocean Dance, she has also choreographed three pieces on the company: Balance (2002), When I'm Sleeping, I See August (2006), and Everything's Perfect, don't mess it up (2008). In 2007, she attended the ImpulsTanz International Dance Festival in Vienna, Austria.
